Chris once again got his VIP on and attended the 2012 Tropfest film festival yesterday in Sydney. We’ve added a few photos of him from the event to our gallery which you can view HERE. We’ll add more as we come across them, so continue to check back for updates.

Great news for all NZ fans of Chris Lilley – the 3 disc edition of Angry Boys hit shelves today! Go get your copy in store or online now to add to your Chris collection! Did you enjoy the finale that aired last night on Comedy Central? We’d love to hear your thoughts on the episode and the whole series.

There will also be a Chris Lilley marathon starting soon featuring all 3 of Chris’ shows We Can Be Heroes, Summer Heights High and Angry Boys airing soon on Comedy Central NZ. Rumor has it to be Feburary 5 but continue to check out Chris’ Facebook and Twitter where he will let all fans know of the official date and time!

I’ve also been getting a lot of requests over the past month for fans wanting Angry Boys tees, particularly US fans. Factorie have discontinued their range of tees (which you have previously seen pics of here on CLF.net) but my local ABC shops are selling their last “I ? Dunt” and Angry Boys logo tees for $15AUS each. So that’ll probably be your best option for now, I can still check Factorie out, but I’m not sure what styles they will have there if any. Hey guys! A couple of years back my friend and I contacted channel 7 and requested they’d show repeats of Hamish and Andy’s self titled show back from ‘04 featuring Chris and guess what? They did! Unfortunately they showed the series on their digital channel which I didn’t have at the time so I missed out on watching/recording it. I was thinking we should all contact channel 7 individually and request they air it again! It doesn’t matter what channel (Mate, 2 etc) and whatever time cause either way I’ll be able to record it this time around as will many of you! If they listened to my friend and myself, surely they’ll listen if 50+ of us ask about it. US/UK fans help out too! You can all pretend you live in Australia just like you all truly want to.

Tonight was the premiere of Angry Boys in the US/Canada on HBO! Majority of the feedback through Twitter statuses of various fans and HBO watchers were positively received! Such as:

Angry Boys was even trending both in the United States and Worldwide during the program at both times! (ET and PT) Fingers crossed the show will go just as well next week when the US are introduced to Jen and Blake!

We have an unofficial announcement to make to all Melbourne fans. According to this lineup of the 2012 Big Day Out, S.mouse is scheduled to perform between the time of 12.20-12.40PM at Melbourne’s BDO. No other cities (ie. Sydney) have been stated as of yet. Featured on other lineup’s across the net, he is listed as a “special guest” so we can’t confirm it 100% but ABC Music posted this tweet a few weeks back:

“Had an amazing meeting with @ChrisLilley this afternoon about a very exciting music project soon to be announced. Watch. This. Space!!”

So we’re assuming that it may have something to do with this. We’ll wait for an official announcement from Chris himself before we state anything else. Stay tuned!

A few months back we held a competition for fans to submit their own Wall of Legends to us to win this Chris Lilley prize pack and after a long decision we’ve decided on a winner… finally! We’d like to congratulate Ashleigh Tenace as our winner! We all thought you really went out of your way with your entries – we loved them! We’d like to offer our runner up prize to Krissy Carbone for her amazing contribution as a Julia Sims lookalike, we can hardly spot the difference! Chris and Laura held a screening of Angry Boys on Wednesday 3o November in NYC to selected media and a group of special fans who were invited via Chris’ Facebook. We have some photos added to our gallery of the screening which you can view HERE sent in by the lovely Heather. Thanks so much Heather! Our own CLFF girls Karen and Chrissy were lucky enough to attend the screening also and had a long chat to Chris himself talking about the weather of all things…

There will be an LA screening of Angry Boys held on 5 December that Sacha Baron Cohen will be presenting! The actors who played LaSquisha, Danthony and S.mouse’s dad in the series will also be in attendance!

It was announced earlier on today that Chris is nominated for an AACTA Award for Best Performance in a Television Comedy for Angry Boys at the 2011 AACTA Awards held in Sydney, next year in January. The AACTA Awards were previously known as the AFI Awards. Congratulations Chris!
