We Can Be Heroes: The Journey

‘We Can Be Heroes: The Journey’ is the hilarious follow up to the hit television series, packed with never-seen-before photographs and personal commentary from the nominees themselves, as well as recent interviews, letters and revealing private items.

Share the journey with 23-year-old Chinese physics genius and aspiring actor Ricky Wong; Phil Olivetti, a 38-year-old policeman who rescued nine children in a freak accident involving an inflatable castle; 16-year-old Ja’mie King, an ultra-popular Sydney schoolgirl who sponsors 85 Sudanese children; 17-year-old farm boy Daniel Sims, undergoing a revolutionary ear transplant operation to help his hearing-impaired twin brother, Nathan; Pat Mullins, a 47-year-old housewife and champion athlete planning to roll on her side from Perth to Uluru.

Written by Chris Lilley after the series was created, The Journey includes:

• Phil’s letter of explanation to the Scouts for trapping a child under a log
• Ja’mie’s diary entries and letters to sponsor child Sonali
• Daniel’s rap lyrics, including ‘If War Came to Dunt’
• Pat and Terry’s love letters
